This is the closest I've heard to the real thing. Not exactly identical, but 1) remember the velocity issue - all Yamaha keyboards at the time were limited to around 105 max velocity. Maybe the plugin could use an option to map 0-127 to 0-105 or whatever the limit was?

Have you ever tried to program the original DX7? We all gave up and just pressed for the next patch. It was a nightmare. This positively begs for tweaking. It's superbly designed and sounds great.
